High Ticket Items To Sell Online

If you’re looking for high ticket items to sell online, you need a high ticket sales funnel. High ticket products allow affiliate marketers to earn a larger commission than you can on the typical products you are often encouraged to sell as an affiliate.

When I first started learning about affiliate marketing, I was promoting $100 products which paid out $40 commission. At the time I thought I had it all figured out! Digital products can pay affiliates 40% commissions. So I was selling digital products. What I didn’t understand is that high ticket affiliate products are much better for affiliates for a number of reasons.

Why Get High Ticket Items To Sell Online?

Standard digital products will pay out 40% commissions and this is far better than most physical products which pay out 3-10% in commissions to affiliates. But high ticket products are better still because they pay out up to 40% but give you much larger commissions. Products which cost $1000+ will give you a much better return than lower valued products which cost around $100 – $400 compared to $40 per sale.

You might think that less people will be able to afford the higher priced item. But remember you have the whole world to market to! You’ll need to sell ten times the lower value product in order to make the same amount as the higher valued one. It’s definitely not ten times as difficult to sell the higher valued item. In fact, the work you do will largely be the same with both.

Higher commissions also allow you to use paid marketing strategies. With lower ticket items, it’s much more difficult to use paid strategies. You need to use free marketing tactics in order to be profitable. This makes it much more difficult and much slower to generate consistent results.

High Ticket Items To Sell Online – Other Considerations

If you’re looking for high ticket items to sell online there’s a few other considerations you can also consider. One of the main things to consider is using  subscription affiliate programs.

Some of the highest value affiliate items can make you a large commission on a single sale. But the actual sales can be few and far between. (See high paying affiliate programs list).

With subscriptions though, you can earn a continual monthly commission for each referral. This can add up over time as you sell more and more membership products. Just having a few sales can bring in a nice regular income. This can make a dramatic difference to your affiliate business, especially in the early stages. Combined with high ticket sales, subscription programs offer a substantial income source which builds on itself over time.

In addition to high ticket products and subscription products, ideally a good high ticket sales funnel will have the following:

  • A built in (in-house) sales team closing sales on your behalf.
  • Up-sells within an automated digital platform and using the sales team – up-sells are products and services you can promote and sell to existing customers. Some programs don’t reward affiliates for up-sells so make sure you choose one which does.
  • Multi-tier sales – allow you to build a team of affiliates within a program and earn commissions based on their sales.
Marketing Your High Ticket Sales Funnel

Before you rush out and get your high ticket sales funnel set up, there’s a few things you should know. Just having a high ticket sales funnel doesn’t in itself get you a massive income. Not at all! You’ll need to market your funnel in order to get the products and information in front of the right people. This can be an easy mistake to make in the online world. It’s much like building a website hoping people will come and visit it. In truth, your websites presence at the start is very similar to a back street garage down an alley somewhere off the beaten track.

No-one will know of your website/sales funnel unless you advertise it.

If you don’t know how to do this, you can learn with an all in one business system and training platform. Sign up to my email list to learn more and access one.

Marketing strategies vary across the board and depending on your circumstances you might choose either free advertising strategies or paid marketing. If you have the time to create content and little income, that’s could be your strategy. If you have no time but some income every month, it’s worth putting aside a monthly budget to start a strategy plan with.

It can take some time before you see a return with a business like this too. But once you have made a few subscription sales you’ll see a regular income every single month.

Paid Marketing Strategies

Paid marketing strategies include things like YouTube, Facebook, Google Adwords, Bing, Yahoo, LinkedIn etc. Free strategies might include blogging, video creation, article marketing, social media marketing etc.

Paid strategies can allow you to generate more traction quickly if you have little time. Just set up some adverts to run while you are busy. As you learn to get better with your paid strategies, you can increase your budget and get more sales. Be careful initially and don’t just throw money at your advertising campaigns. Paid strategies are good once you learn and know what you’re doing. Then, you can scale up and increase the flow of buying customers through your funnel.

There’s time needed initially to learn what works and what doesn’t. This can cost you some of your budget initially too, so that’s why it’s better not to rush in and throw money at it. Once you have done this and figure out from the data what is working, you can leave it running and scale up. Then, move on to the next one and the next one.

Content Marketing Strategies

Content marking takes much longer than paid marketing does. But it’s much cheaper in terms of money! In terms of time, you’ll need to dedicate a set amount of time every day, if possible, to creating and sharing your content. You’ll need to do this over the long term too. This can take months or even years to generate the traction you need, depending on your strategy and how successful you are.

If you get your content right, and manage to get in front of the right audience, it can lead to getting the right kinds of people into your sales funnel. Again, it takes a little testing and experimenting to find a strategy which works for you and which works!

Content marketing can be done with blogging, article marketing and video creation. You can also use content from your affiliate program too to promote to your audience.

Blogging

Blogging is a cheap method of generating traffic to your sales funnel. What you blog about, and how successful you are at getting your content in front of the right audience are your main “cornerstones” when it comes to getting it right.

V’logging – Video Blogging

Video blogging is another strategy which can generate traffic to your sales funnel. If you’re attempting to ‘rank’ your videos and get traffic for free, expect to put in a lot of work and create videos regularly and upload them to YouTube. Your content should be aimed at those you intend to help with your products and services so should in some way connect people to your products.

Article Marketing

If you’ve got a blog, you can use article marketing websites like Ezine Articles to create more content which can be shared by other website owners to bolster their websites with content. If someone picks up your article/s, you can generate a nice stream of traffic back to your blog over time. You’ll need to generate a lot of content for this strategy to start generating regular traffic though.
