So how did I manage to sell these high ticket items? Well I really only sold the initial product in the list above through an automated sales funnel. After that, the sales system and a built in sales team closed the sale on the high ticket items on my behalf.

In Simon Sinek’s book Start With Why, he discusses how those with less means and resources can achieve far more than those with it. It all depends on their “why”. When someone purchases the top level product in an online business, for example, it’s for a reason. The best reason I can fathom is pain! People who are happy with their “lot” in life simply won’t purchase product they don’t need.

The same could be true of many high ticket products you might want to purchase. Most good sales people know their customers “why” and hit their pain point. They then deliver a product which gives them what they want; whether that is more freedom (as with the SFM product), or more kudos as with a large value home, or vehicle for example.

A customer avatar is where many online marketers start with a view to make a sale. The clearer you can get on who your ideal customer is, the better targeted your advertising will be.

Your “ideal” customer will of course be the least hassle and stress and give you the highest commissions. They will go “all in” not because you’re an amazing sales person and “close the deal” but because they are perfectly in alignment with what you have to offer.

As an example here’s my perfect “avatar”. This is someone who is burned out and fed up of their current employment. They are in ages between 30 and 50 and have worked hard in a career. They see the value in building an online business and paying for mentorship and for the largest commission levels since this will be the fastest escape route out of their current career.

My High Ticket Sales

My own personal high ticket sales came from a number of strategies. My referrer – the person who referred me to the SFM initially helped a number of his members personally. He set up an advertising co-operative through Facebook and I made an Elite sale just from running adverts.

I wrote a number of articles on my website and targeted keywords which fit a few main criteria:

  1. They had good customer intent – the customer search criteria was a good match for the product I was selling
  2. The search volume for the keywords I choose showed regular monthly searches
  3. Competition for content was low

I managed to rank a couple of articles which were highly targeted. One was high commission affiliate programs and the other was autopilot money making system.

After making some sales through my articles I ran paid marketing to those same articles when they eventually dropped off the Google organic searches.
