Our sessions are 70 minutes long and are designed for first-timers.

Each lane consists of 2 targets, an instructor and up to 10 players.

During the session, you’ll receive a safety brief, learn how to throw an axe, take part in a tournament and learn some trick shots. Ever fancied throwing two axes at once? An instructor will be on lane throughout to ensure you’re having a blast.

What is a single ticket for a social lane?

1 Ticket per player, with up to 10 players per lane. Perfect for smaller groups or couples. You’ll be playing as a mixed group, our instructors are great at getting everyone involved and soon enough you’ll be cheering on everybody on your lane.

What is a lane package?

Lane packages provide a more private experience for larger groups. The Exclusive Lane package fits up to 10 players.

What’s your capacity?

Each lane can fit up to 10 players and we have a lane starting every 15 minutes.

My group is too large for one lane, can we still play?

Yes, we can still get you throwing but the group will be split across more than one lane, with start times 15 minutes apart. Select your desired start times when making a booking.

Can we book a session outside of the times listed online?

Yes, please drop us an email and we will work with you to get you on the lanes. You can reach us by clicking the help icon in the bottom right or emailing us at [email protected]

Can I book tickets for today?

Absolutely, if there’s availability. We do always recommend booking well in advance.

Do you sell tickets on the door?

Yes, but only if our online tickets haven’t sold out. We strongly recommend booking advance online here

Can I place a deposit or reserve a booking?

No, we only ever take payment in full for bookings upon booking a session. To make payment for a corporate booking please email [email protected]

My Discount code isn’t working

Please ensure you’re entering your code in the correct place. When selecting your session date, you’ll see a box marked ‘Apply Promo or voucher’ – enter your code here! If you are having trouble please reach out at [email protected]

I need to add someone to my booking

Great, simply book another ticket for the same session and fill out the box marked ‘Joining another group?’

I can’t make the session, can I get a refund or reschedule my session?

For groups of 6 players or less, a refund or reschedule request will only be accepted with at least 72 hours notice prior to your session start time.

For groups of 7 players or more, a refund or reschedule request will only be accepted with at least 10 days notice prior to your session start date.

Do I need to arrive on time?

Yes, we do ask all players to arrive 10 minutes before their session start time to allow for checking in.

What should I wear?

Players must wear closed-toe shoes (no flip flops) Pro tip: flat shoes are best for throwing in. Face coverings are no longer required in our venues. If you’d feel more comfortable wearing one, that’s totally cool with us!

Can I bring my own axe?

No – We only throw Whistle Punks axes on our lanes, we want to keep the playing field fair for everyone! Plus, we wouldn’t want your axe getting damaged!

Is the venue pet-friendly?

All of our venues are strictly for humans only. No matter how heckin’ cute your doggo is!

Can we wear fancy dress?

Sure. We only ask you to keep in mind our other guests, if your costume is offensive or causing distress to other players you’ll be asked to remove it.

Do you have parking?

None of our venues have on-site parking.

Is it OK for someone to spectate?

No. Only those with a ticket will be able to enter the venue.

Can we get food and drink at the venue?

London – Soft drinks available.

Manchester – Beers, ciders, wine, spirits and soft drinks available.

Bristol – A well-stocked bar of beers, ciders, wines and soft drinks.

Is axe throwing safe?

Our sessions take place under highly controlled (but still fun) conditions. Axes are only ever thrown down empty, enclosed lanes under the watchful eye of an experienced instructor. As a result of rigorous testing, our axes and flooring have both been designed to reduce any unwanted bounces. Safety is our highest priority and we are continually reviewing and updating our practices to prevent any dangerous situations before they occur.

Can we drink alcohol beforehand?

We strongly advise against drinking alcohol beforehand. Should our instructors believe you’re behaving in an unsafe manner you’ll be relegated to a spectator role for the remainder of the session.

Is this for 18’s and over only?

We don’t allow entry to any of our venues to those under the age of 18. We operate a challenge 25 policy so please bring ID.

Can I play if I’m pregnant?

Axe throwing is a relatively low-intensity activity so there is no reason why you can not play. If you have any concerns please consult a doctor. If you are in the third trimester of your pregnancy, or up to 6-months post-partum, we strongly suggest speaking with your midwife or doctor before booking.

How do I redeem my gift certificate?

Select your venue, session date, session time and then fill out your booking details. Once you get through to the payment page, select ‘Pay by Gift certificate’

Enter your Gift certificate code (begins with a G) and hit apply to redeem the certificate balance against the invoice total. If there is any balance remaining it can be used at a later date.

If the gift certificate balance was not enough to cover the whole transaction amount, you can make a payment via credit card for the rest. You are able to use more than one gift voucher to clear the balance of a booking.

My voucher is in date but says ‘INVALID’ when entered.

Please make sure you’re entering your code on the final payment page and not the box marked ‘Apply promo or voucher’.

My gift certificate expires today, can I book a session for tomorrow?

You totally can, the expiry date only refers to when the booking must be placed by.

Can we book the whole venue?
