There’s a lot more to being a Whistle Punks instructor than just knowing how to axe throw, which is why we hold Axe Factor events when opening new venues – applicants will have 10 minutes to teach something to a small group. It can be anything at all. We’ve seen meringue-making, magic tricks (which didn’t work but still scored a job), entertaining Eurovision factors, knot tying, fire eating, and more. The subject of your teaching doesn’t really matter, and you don’t have to be a super-extra-extrovert. Ultimately, you have to care about people and inspire them through positivity.
As Jools mentioned, we can teach anyone how to axe throw but the rest is up to you, which is why we do our due diligence to ensure you have the commitment and passion to give our customers the best experience possible.
Additionally, here at Whistle Punks, we take the safety of our customers and staff extremely seriously, highlighting the importance of having good attention to detail and awareness when taking charge of one of our axe throwing lanes. While you’re there to teach students how to axe throw and critique their technique to ensure they nail a few bullseyes, you’re also there to ensure our safety precautions are being followed at all times.
An Unforgettable Axe Throwing Experience
We promise to deliver an unforgettable axe throwing experience to all of our customers, and you, as an instructor, will be a very big part of that. Good interpersonal skills and dedication to ensuring we can deliver this promise to our customers are beneficial and will help you become the best axe throwing instructor possible.
